With Colby-Sawyer nearby, Flying Goose probably has some collegiate dollars coming in to help keep the lights on. Combine that with Mt. Sunapee skiers in the wintertime and Lake Sunapee swimmers/boaters in the summer, and the proprietors have a good thing going, at least on paper.
We have now been and can confirm. The lodge atmosphere in the bar section plays wonderfully against the mountain backdrop. It's the type of place where you definitely want to become part of the Mug Club, of which they had at least 250 mugs going.

The Forever Locked Lager was perfect for the one beer stop we took on the way crossing the state of New Hampshire. A low ABV with a great taste, it's a no brainer for accompanying any plate on the Flying Goose menu.

Brewery Food/Menu
Now we're talking! Eschewing the standard microbrewery pub fare, Flying Goose serves up fried chicken dinners, turkey pot pies, and country meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies. They also serve a pulled pork bbq dinner using fresh pork from local Robie Farm.
We enjoyed a Pretzel when we stopped in. The honey mustard was really good, in case you're wondering.
